“Hello everyone! I’m Josa. Today, we’re going to talk about something we all use every single day: words. They’re like little seeds. We can plant good seeds, or not-so-good seeds. Let’s see what kind of garden we can grow together.”
(Story 1: The Echo in the Forest)
“Imagine you’re in a big, quiet forest. If you shout something mean, like ‘I don’t like you!’ the forest echoes it back. It sounds harsh, right? Our words are like that echo. They go out and come back to us. I remember one time, I was playing with my brother. We were having fun, but then I said something mean when I got upset. It was like a harsh echo. He felt sad, and I felt bad too. Have you ever noticed how your words echo in your own heart?”
(Short Pause)
“The Bible says our words are strong. James 3:5-6 says our tongue is like a little fire. Even small words can make big problems.”
(Story 2: The Gardener’s Choice – Expanded)
“Imagine you have a word garden. You can plant good words, like ‘thank you’ and ‘I’m sorry.’ These grow happy feelings. Or, you can plant bad words, like ‘you’re mean.’ These grow hurt feelings. God wants us to plant good words. James 3:9-10 says we can’t say good things and bad things with the same mouth. It’s like trying to grow good fruit and bad fruit on the same tree. We need to pick good words.”
(Story 3: The Treasure Chest and the Empty Feeling)
“Everyone wants to find treasure, right? Some people think treasure is money, toys, or fame. But, sometimes, those things don’t make us truly happy. I saw a show about people who had all the money in the world, but they were still sad. They felt empty inside. It’s like they had a treasure chest, but it was filled with sand instead of gold. 1 Timothy 6:10 tells us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. True treasure is having a heart that loves God, a heart filled with joy and peace.”
(Story 4: The Shelter and the Helping Hand)
“Life can be tough. Sometimes, we feel like we’re caught in a storm. We feel sad, scared, or alone. But, God is like a strong shelter. When the storm comes, we can run to Him. We can talk to Him. It’s called prayer. We can tell Him how we feel, what we need, and ask for His help. And, we can also reach out to others. It’s okay to say, ‘I’m having a hard time.’ It’s okay to ask for a helping hand. Sharing our feelings and burdens helps us feel less alone.”
(Story 5: The Hidden Strength and the Mountain Climb)
“Living for God is like climbing a mountain. It’s not always easy. There are steep paths and rocky places. But, when we reach the top, the view is amazing! We find a hidden strength inside us, a strength that helps us be kind, loving, and patient. We discover joy, peace, and a sense of purpose. It’s like finding a secret superpower that makes us the best version of ourselves.”
(Conclusion – Growing a Garden of Kindness)
“So, what have we learned today? We learned that our words are powerful, like echoes and seeds. We learned that we have a choice: we can plant good seeds or bad seeds. We learned that true treasure is found in a heart that loves God, not in money or things. We learned that God is our shelter in the storm, and that we can reach out to others for help. And we learned that living for God gives us a hidden strength, like climbing a mountain and seeing the beautiful view.
Let’s make a promise to ourselves to plant good seeds with our words. Let’s grow a garden of kindness, love, and encouragement. Let’s remember that God loves us, and He wants us to have a happy heart. And remember, I’m here for you, too. You are not alone.”
(Simple Question and Encouragement)
“What’s one good seed you want to plant today? Go ahead and say it out loud, or share it with a friend. Let’s start growing our garden of kindness together!”
“Imagine a quiet forest, and you shout something mean. It echoes back, doesn’t it? That’s how our words work. Josa shared stories about words, like seeds we plant. Some seeds grow flowers of kindness, others grow weeds of hurt. We learned that words are powerful, like a little fire that can cause big problems, just as the Bible says in James.
Then, Josa took us to a treasure chest. We thought it might be gold, but it was filled with sand. Real treasure, Josa explained, is a heart that loves God, not money or toys. When life gets stormy, God is our shelter, like a big hug. And climbing the mountain of living for God? It’s hard, but the view is amazing! We find strength inside.
So, let’s plant good seeds with our words. Let’s grow a garden of kindness together. Because we’re not alone, and God loves us. What good seed will you plant today?”
